Resin 3D printing has transformed the way model railroad buildings are produced. Instead of purchasing individual plastic kits, a single downloadable building set can often be used to create multiple variations of the same structure, allowing an entire neighborhood or village to be built in a consistent architectural style at a fraction of the cost of traditional kits.
Another major advantage is instant availability. Once purchased, the files can be downloaded immediately and printed whenever needed, eliminating shipping costs and the risk of discontinued products.
Some kits are available as both "print-in-one-piece" assembly-free models and traditional multi-part kits that offer even finer detail and greater flexibility. With modern resin printers, highly detailed H0-scale buildings can be produced at home, ready for priming, painting and weathering to match any era or prototype.
Starting in 2023, we started designing printable 3D models for the average home user. You find all available buildings in our library. The 3D-models are available in our shop on a platform called CG Trader. You pay a low one-time fee and can then print as many buildings as you like for your Model Railroad.
